Skin Care A Game
There is an electricity in the air when Autumn arrives. I have no idea if that is scientifically true. I do know that there is less moisture in the air which leads to more static electricity in fabric. Maybe there is a correlation. Maybe I’m just making stuff up. Who knows.
What I do know is that come cold weather, there is a fun energy in the air. This means fire pits, leaf piles and cuddly knit sweaters. It also means, my skin gets dry. With the all the apple picking, pumpkin carving and gooey toasty marshmallows, I make sure I am stocked up on my tried and true dry skin relief. I make it myself. I am so glad to be able to share it with ya’ll.
I don’t have measurements, but it comes out about fluffy like snow so mix to that point. That is all there is to it! I have been told you can’t store essential oil in a plastic container, hence the mason jar. I scrub my body down with the scrub before I shave my legs as to avoid razor burn. The oil doesn’t make my shower gross like Olive oil does. It also works well for your hands when your hands at the end of a long day. I have loads of friends in the health care industry who wash their hands a bajillion times a day and they love it. It also makes a super fun gift for teachers, coworkers and the impossible to shop for.
On another note, baking soda mixed with your facial cleanser helps get rid of uneven skin tone. It diminishes sun spots which is great.
I don’t have to remind you drink plenty of water and wear sun block. Sister, don’t make me come over there. 😉
I believe your body deserves the pampering you give it. Honestly, it’s a lot more fun to live in a well-cared for body than it is a neglected one. For me, its fun and rewarding. With the dry air, cold winds and smoky fire pits, this girl is bringing her skin care A game to the table.
