Simple but powerful message to start every day. My inspiration for day to day life.

Simple but powerful message to start every day. My inspiration for day to day life.

“I love God’s law with all my heart. However, there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. Oh what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. So you see how it is: In my mind I really want to obey God’s law, but because of my sinful nature I am a slave to sin.” Romans 7:22-25

I cannot believe how much I relate to the struggle Paul went through, especially when I lay awake at night going over all my words and actions through out that day. The battle is daily! I desire after the freedom of my relationship with God. However, I am tempted over and over to be held captive to the influence of the culture and society around me just like Paul.

Thankfully, I have a choice. I am not bound by wayward flesh. I choose to redirect my thought patterns. I choose to redirect my emotions to create positive habits. It is not easy but I know this and I know I have the Creator of the universe to lead me. I have God, my Father, to lead me, change me, strengthen me, and fortify me. I am priceless. I am strong in Him, refined by Him and filled with His Holy Spirit, His wisdom, ready to discern His knowledge. I am ready to move forward in who I am as His daughter, in who He is in me, to step forward firmly and confidently in His will, His calling for my life.

I will not give up. All the things that could be hurdles are stepping blocks. They are props to be used to lean further into my calling as a child of God. They are used to testify of His power, love, grace.

if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in me, then will he not be capable to give me life to my mortal body through His Holy Spirit who forever dwells with me.

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish immeasurably, exceedingly more than we might ask or think or imagine. Glory to him in the church and in Christ through all the generations forever and ever! Amen” Ephesians 3:20,21
